The Lake Morton Neighborhood Association has announced that the Eighth Annual Historic Home & Garden Tour will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2011 from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm. This self-guided walking or trolley tour is open to the public and will feature about 12 homes in the South and East Lake Morton historic districts. Because several homes have porches with stairs, not all tour locations are handicap-accessible.
The tour will begin at 11 am and is accessible by foot or trolley. It will showcase examples of several different architectural styles such as the Federal Colonial Revival style, the English Arts and Crafts Tudor style, the Mediterranean Revival Style, and several Craftsman bungalows. Homeowners and greeters will be on hand at the tour homes to welcome participants and answer questions.
